"...that we Jacob Eyman, Jacob Hamish, Tobias Stehman and Henry Shenck,
all of Conestogoe township in the County of Lancaster are held and firmly
bound ... in the sum of Ten thousand two hundred and ninety two dollars, to
be paid to the said Commonwealth for the use of the parties interested in
the estate of Christian Eyman, late of Conestogoe township..." Dated
16 Sept 1834.
Document then names only Jacob Eyman and Jacob Harnish as Administrators,
and is then signed by the four named above:

Christian Eyman decd, On the Petition of John Eyman, Christian Eyman, Jacob
Ey‑man, David Eyman, and Abraham Eyman sons of Christian Eyman deceased
above the age of twenty one years, Jacob Harnish and Catharine his Wife (late
Catharine Eyman) Adam Brenneman and Nancy his Wife (late Nancy Eyman) Henry
Forrer and Magdalena his Wife (late Magdalena Eyman). Respectively (represents)
that the said Christian Eyman died intestate on or about the 6th day of September
1834 leaving issue eight children to wit: John, Christian, Jacob, David, Abraham,
Catharine who intermarried with Jacob Harmsh, Nancy who intermarried With
Adam Brenneman & Magdalena who intermarried with Henry Forrer; and seized
in his ..., as of fee of and in the following described real Estate ... ting
of a (Refuage) tenement and plantation or tract of land situate lying and
being in Conestoga twp in the County of Lancaster aforesaid adjoining lands
of Jacob (Sehl), Tobias (Initial?) Stehman, ..., John Miller, and the Conestogoa
Navigation containing seventy eight acres, be the same more or less. Petition
or Valuation of the said Estate having been had, the petitioners pray the
Court, to order and ... Henry Shenk, Tobias Stehman, Jacob (Sehl), Christian
(M)ylin, Abraham (Hoss), John Hoober, and ... Shenk chosen by the petitioners
for that purpose to make partition or Valuation of the said forem ... ding
to the acts of Assembly in such case made and provided, and make report of
their proceedings here to the next Orphans Court after they shall have so
parted or Valued the same. And they will ... It is entered by the Court that
the said seven Men do View the said premises, and make partition ... between
the children of said deceased if the same can be done without prejudice to
and spoiling ... whole. But, if the find the same cannot be divided that they
then inquire and report whether the said premises will conveniently accommodate
more than one of the said heirs and legal ... without prejudice to and spoiling
of the Whole: and if they so find that they ascertain, and report ... many
of the same will as aforesaid accommodate, describing each ... by metes and
bounds,…
ning aiust Valuation and appralsement‑ But in Case partition cannot
be made between all the heirs and legal representative aforesaid ... the said
premises accommodate more than one of the said heirs and legal representatives
that they then Value and appraise the whole premises agreeably to Law; that
legal notice of the time and place of holding such Inquisition be given by
the parties interested, or their legal Representative, that they may be present,
if they think ... and that report of the said proceeding be made to the next
Orphan's Court to be held at Lancaster the Monday in next.
**This document is divided between two pages, however page numbers are not
shown and the documentation lists only "page 257". At the top of
the second page is shown "November 1834", which suggests this was
the regularly scheduled session of the Orphan's Court at Lancaster, Penna.
As a result of photocopying the night edge of the document is dark, this plus
the old script makes some of the writing on this and the following illegible
or difficult to decipher. Various spellings of names shown are the result
of each being seperately interpreted. Comparisons plus examination of census
records, etc. may help detemine the actual identities. (pjd)

Christian Eyman decd. Pursuant to an order of the Court of the l7th day of
November 1834, directing Henry Shenk, Tobias Stehman, Jacob (Sehl), Christian
Mylin, Abraham.. John Heeber, and John Shenk, seven men indifferently chosen
by the Representatives of Christian Eyman deceased to View & .. the Real
Estate of said deceased said Seven Men now report in the Words following viz:
Inquisition taken the 22d day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and thirty four. Pursuant to the ... order of the Orphans Court
of said County the premises situate in the township of Conestogoe Consisting
of seventy eight Acres of Land adjoined to lands of Jacob Fehl, Tobias Nehman,
Martin Kendig now deceased and others,. Before and by ... Shenk, Tobias Nehman,
Jacob ...hl, Christian Mylin, Abraham Hess, John Huber, and John ... who did
severally to into and upon the said premises and are of Opinion and do find
that the said premises cannot be parted and divided to and among the said
children and legal representatives of said Christian Eyman deceased without
prejudice to and spoiling of the whole, and the ... aforesaid do further find
that the said premises with the appurtenances will not conveniently accommodate
more than one of the said Christian Eyman deceased without prejudice to and
spoiling of the whole. And the men do View and appraise the same at and for
the sum of three Dollars per Acre for each and every ... thereof amounting
in the Whole to the sum of (no amount written).
Which we submit as a reasonable Valuation thereof. Witness their ... and
Seals the day and Year aforesaid. Which Inquisition being read was Confirmed
by the Court.

Christian Eyman decd. In the matter of the Valuation of the real Estate of
Christian Eyman deceased confirmed by this Court on the third day of December
1834, Now December l8th 1834. The heirs and legal representatives of said
deceased in (visiting said land refuse) to take the Real estate or any part
thereof at the Valuation or appraisement made ... and request the Court to
Issue and order to Jacob Hamish and Jacob Eyman administrators of said Christian
Eyman deceased to sell the said Real Estate at public Vendue. Whereupon it
is ordered by the Court that Jacob Hamish and Jacob Eyman administrators of
the said Christian Eyman deceased ... to public Sale the real Estate of said
deceased not accepted by the heirs and legal representatives of the said deceased
at the Valuation made thereof by seven Men in pursuance of an order of this
Court of the ... th day of November 1834, and the Confirmation thereof by
this Court on the third day of December 1834, consisting of land in a ...

Christian Eyman and Pursuant to an order of this Court of the 18th day of
December ... Domim 1834 directing Jacob Hamish and Jacob Eyman administrators
of Christian Eyman deceased to (expose) to public Sale the real estate of
said deceased not accepted by the heirs and legal representatives of the said
deceased at the Valuation made thereof by seven Men in pursuance of an order
of ... of the l7th day of November 1834 and the Confirmation thereof by this
Court on the 3rd day of December 1834 consisting of and in a ... tenement
and plantation and tract of land situate and being in Conestoga township in
the County of Lancaster adjoining lands of Jacob ... Tobias B. Stehman, Martin
(Kendig), John (Miller) and the Conestoga Navigation containing Seventy eight
acres be the same more or less at the public house of Christian Rohrer in
Conestoga township on Saturday the 20th day of December 1834 Term Cash on
the first day of April 1835. Said Administrators do now report that pursuant
to the within order of Sale they did at the time and place within mentioned
after having given due public timely and legal notice of the time and place
of Sale expose the said for ... within mentioned to public Vendue or ... the
said premises were ... and for the sum of Ninety ... per Acre Containing Seventy
(Nine) Acres and twenty eight perches real Measure Amounting ... the whole
in the sum of Seven thousand (one hundred) and twenty five dollars and seventy
five ... being the highest and best bidder and that being the highest and
best price bidden at the sale ... for the same. All of which the Court is
(respect)fully requested to confirm. Which report being ... the Court Confirms
the Sale and the premises sold to the said (John) ... fel to him his heirs
and ... (in fee as fully) as the said Intestate ... the same immediately before
and at Time of his death Subject and liable to the ... of the purchase money
agreeable to the Terms described by the Court in their said order of sale.

June 1835
Christian Eyman decd Jacob Hamish and Jacob Eyman administrators of Christian
Eyman late of Conestoga township in the County of Lancaster, farmer, died
having stated and filed on the registers office at Lancaster the Admin account
on the estate of the said decd, and legal notice thereof being given by the
said register a copy of the same is now produced to the Court for confirmation,
wherby it appears that the said account was duly (passed) by the said register,
and that there remains in the hands of the said Accountants a ballance of
$12,385.17 1/4 The Court on due examination thereof and advisement had thereon
approve of and confirm the same and direct that balance to be paid
and distributed agreeably to Law.

Benjamin Martin, Admin. of estate of Christian Eyman late of Martic Twp.,
Lancaster Co. produced account of the estate. Balance after payment of debts
is $843.84.
