He was a blacksmith and lived at various times in the towns of Roy, Ashford and Tacoma in Pierce Co. Washington, and for a short time at Yelm, Thurston Co. Washington. About 1921 the Jones moved to Satsop, in Gray's Harbor Co. Washington. After th e death of his wife Daniel Jones lived with his daughter, Mrs. Donna Grace, or Tacoma.
