Norm Iman: EmanuelÊEymanÊb 1795Êm BarbaraÊSites b 1796 in 1816 Allegany Co,MD. They owned land in Pendleton Co and there raised 13 children. Jacob b 1818, Barbara b 1819, William b 1821, Virginia b 1823,ÊMary Mae b 1826, John b 1829, Cornelius b 1 830, Eve b 1832, Susanna b 1835, Hiram b 1837, Carlton b 1838, Joab b 1840 and Parks b 1841.No wonder that Barbara died in 1842. Emanuel was aÊminister of the United Brethren Church, aÊphysician,Êa teacher, and a farmer and lived to be very old.ÊT aught himself how to speakÊEnglish at the age of 21. HeÊchanged the spelling of the Eyman surname to Iman. The data fromÊEmanuel and down is accurate but lots of loose ends there too i.e. where did Emanuel end up at. His wife Barbara died in 184 2 and left him with 6 children under the age of 10. (She must have been worn outÊafter birthing 13 children.) He did stay inÊVA until around 1861 when he,ÊJohn, Hiram, Susanna and Eve migrated to Gallia Co, OH. I have an idea that they stopped o r stayed awhile in Sissonville, VA with William and/or Jacob beforeÊgoing on to Ohio.ÊAlthough Gallia Co, OH was just a shortÊdistance from Sissonville on theÊW side of the Ohio River. Additional searching will be required to find out what happene d to the three youngest boys. Hopefully they didn't get snatched up by the Army.

Norm has other children as part of this family:
Carlton Iman b 1838 - No records to date - Probably ended up in OH
Joab Iman b 1840 - No records to date - Probably ended up in OH
Parks Iman b 1841 - No records to date - Probably ended up in OH
Ê
The last 3 boys would have been of age when Emanuel,ÊJohn, Hiram,ÊSusanna and Eve migrated to Ohio. ~ 1861. They could have stayed inÊVA.
