Notes:

Exiled from Switzerland in 1671. In January 1672 living in Ibersheim, Germany, and receiving the support of Mennonites from Amsterdam. A letter to the congregation which was supporting these desperate migrants stranded along the Rhine cites speci fics of the Eyman family and it's few posessions.

Left the Oberdeissbach (mountain village) and Thun area near Steffisburg and migrated to the Pfalz. It seems that his wife and some children remained behind. While this has sometimes been intrepreted as a division of faith in the family, it has be come apparent that the wife remaining at home was bearing a child. She did subsequently join the migration, though other children of this couple may have remained behind. This Eyman had been imprisoned in 1671 for his religious beliefs.

Noted in "Swiss Anabaptist Refugees of 1671" in the January 1944 Mennonite Family History Magazine.
