- Notes:
-
There are numerous questions about who this Christian Eyman was. Many date him to 1731 and consider him the eldest son of Ulrich. Others believe this to be a grand-son of Ulrich (m. Elizabetha Weiss), by his own son who remained behind in Germany
. Tax and military data show the possibility of two Christian Eymans in the Conestoga area, in addition to the Christian of Hardy.
The genealogy shown here follows the assumption that a grandson of Ulrich arrived in America with him, though there are some questions about this. The Torsten Eyman records of this person suggest further that the person had lived in Wayne Co., Ohi
o, though this is quite unlikely. The children of the Christian Eyman who died in 1834 in Conestoga surely migrated in that direction, but it's unlikely that this person did. This child, if he had arrived with Ulrich, was not mentioned in the wil
l or in orphan court proceedings.
As noted by johnkyt@aol.com, "A Christian Eyman married Susan Graybill in 1788, in Lancaster Co., PA. There is some confusion if this is the son of Ulrich Eyman. Per information received from Richard Yoder in 1990, there is a fracture of the bir
th of Abraham Eyman, son of Christian Eyman and wife Susan Heissin."
National Genealogical Society Quarterly, Volumes 1-85, 1600s-1900s__ Volume 44, Bible Records: Moorman, Nicholas, Thomas Wakefield; Henry L. Fehl; Herring Bibles, Page 169
which shows a Christian Eyman and Susana Eyman buried in the
Henry L. Fehl Cemetery, in Maryland.

IN 1778 Andrew Fehl was overseer of the poor. An earlier record showed that an Andreas Fehl had run away from indenture with another person.
This Christian may be an Eyerman, as an 1811 will of a Christian Herr, granting Eyman the right to purchase the farm adjoining Fehl's describes himself as "brother-in-law". The will also specifies funding for several young Lehman children, perhap
s orphaned of the Maria Eyman (of Manor) and Daniel Leyman married in 1791 at the First Reformed Church
See susannA NOTES
In 1811, a Christian Herr died in Conestoga. This is a person with whom Christian Eyman had been involved in land transactions. In the will of Christian Herr were provisions for Christian (said to be Herr's 'brother-in-law') and Susannah to purcha
se from him the land on Long Lane adjoining the Fehl's farm where several Eymans are buried.
A successful application was made to DAR for this Christian Eyman under the impression that the wife was Susan Graybill, though lack of documentation for her was noted by application reviewers:
