Page from old book: Mr. W. Lee Beaury was hurt at the American Car and Foundry Co on Tuesday morning at 11:25 O'clock Jan 6, 1903. By 1906, he had obtained a job working for United Brewery Workers of America and joined the Union on October 5, 1906
, giving his name as Wm. L. Beaury, born Sharpsville, Indiana on September 27, 1869. International Union 4953, Local 699. While living in Humboldt, Illinois he joined the I.O.O.F. Lodge, 636 on July 12, 1894. He was married to Elizabeth Birdie Ima
n, March the 12th 1903. William died Nov the 28th, 1917 at the age of 48 years, 2 months and 1 day. William L. Beaury died leaving no descendants. He lived alone when he was found murdered in his own bed. The East Alton, Illinois postmaster sent a
n inquiry to find his brother Clarence, when his address was found in William's ransacked house after it was searched. His insurance papers made out to his brother Clarence and other valuable papers were stolen. Murder never solved.
