Died shortly after marrying John Lenzel/Senzel
Little is known of this person, though in 1794, the wife of a John Lenzel/Senzel died. Court papers of admnisration described her as the "former Anna Eyeman", suggesting that she was a widow, divorcee, or an unknown Eyman. For a period in America
n family history this record was pointed to as possible support for the assumption of a "Ruth Ann Stookey" who might have married an Abraham Eyman and fathered at least Abraham Eyman of Lancaster <1767>. It was thought that this "former Anna Eyema
n" married after the demise of her Abraham in Wellesville Ohio. No evidence has been found to date of Eymans in the Yellow River area of Ohio, and the town of Wellesville had not been founded at a feasible time period to support this theory. Late
ly, records of a John Sensel have appeared in Manor on lists suggesting a residence actually near that of Christian Eyman. Census data for the Sensel household of 1790 showed one child under 16 years of age in addition to the parents. A record not
ing a listing for John Sensel of Lancaster in the American Genealogical-Biological Index (Volume 156, p., 142 suggested that he was thought born in the 1750s.
(Note Yellow River appears elsewhere)
