Notes:

Maria Agatha was married to Ulrich not long before the migration to America. One old family tale accounts for Ulrich as a prosperous farmer who was contemplating a major land purchase. It's thought that Maria Agatha, the daughter of local mayor di dn't feel comfortable with the indebtedness involved, and may have encoraged migration as an option.

Within a few short years she was settling Ulrich's estate.

The name of Agatha Eyman appears upon occasion in records of the First Reformed Church in Lancaster. She sponsored a baptism for a Maria Agatha, daugher of Peter and Mary Magdalene Kopf in 1767.

In 1773, an Issac Lefewer (Le Fevre?) married a "Maria Eimaenin", a widow of Lampeter, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Is this "Eimaenin" and "Eyman"? Is this "Maria" actually our "Maria Agatha". It seems likely that these persons ar e the same. In the deed of sale of Johan Heinrich "Henry's" Lampeter lands as he and his wife Maria Sager were leaving for Virginia, property lines are said to adjoin those of "Maria LeFevre", and this very name appeared as the sponsor for the Fir st Reformed baptism of Henry's children at this time.

Another possibility for linking Eymans with the Herrs and LeFevres is that the "Maria" who married Issac LeFevre may have been a daughter of Ulrich, Maria Katharina <1762>. This would have been the daughter of Maria Agatha Essig.
