Windsor thought she was born 1818.

Mary Whiteside was from a famous family in Monroe Co. Illinois who had also come to Illinois at a very early date, I think in the 1780's. There are a lot of famous stories about her family fighting in the early Indian raids. Whiteside Co. Illinoi s was named after the family. There is online a Whiteside family site with the Whiteside family back to the immigrants who came over from Ireland in the early 1700's.
